We will hold goal setting conferences Wednesday, 10/19 through Friday, 10/21.
To sign up for your family’s conference, please go to the Odyssey Middle School Moodle site and select the time that works best for you. You will need to be logged in to Moodle with either your student’s Moodle username and password, or with your Moodle username and password if you have created your own account. All students have their usernames and passwords in their planners. The Moodle site can be reached by going to the district’s website, under “Students”, or just cut and paste the address below into your web browser. (I will be showing how to do this at the parent meeting this Thursday).
Once you sign up for the conference, there is no "confirmation." You hold the time slot unless you go in and change it. Please be sure to make a note of the time you sign up for.
For those of you who have not done goal setting conferences with us, here is a little information about them. They are twenty minutes long with one teacher (Paul or Liz) and are intended to set goals, not review progress. Students are an integral part of the conference and are expected to attend and participate. Prior to conferences, they will learn about S.M.A.R.T. goals (specific, measurable, action-oriented, realistic and timely), and will work with you and their teachers to set three academic SMART goals. You may want to check your student's grades in Skyward before conferences as it pertains to their goal setting.
Other important information: there is a full day of school on Wednesday. Honors Geometry and Spanish 1 will be held Thursday and Friday, otherwise, there are no classes on those days.
If you need any help signing up for conferences, Michelle Hope is a great resource. She can be reached at 780-1381. Thanks!
